The Fab Plus Size

The Plus-size fashion industry is booming. And it only makes me happier. Let’s be true. Most of the women around us are between regular to plus size. And they are all pretty. So its high time we had pretty clothes for them too!

With a lot of brands coming up with plus sizes, and a lot of them using plus size models, we can see a drift from an earlier set in stone theory for models to be stick thin and they have reaffirmed our faith in the fact that women in all sizes are beautiful.

Now, coming down to solve the dilemma of what to wear to look your best when you may not be feeling too confident or when you don’t know what would look good on you, or if you want to experiment with looks, scroll down.

A love for Skirts

Ideally, one should wear it where your waist is the narrowest or if you like the idea, an inch higher. This helps create an illusion of a narrower waist, covers any bulges around your waist and thighs and makes you look adorable. Many times plus size ladies shy away from experimenting with colors. My advice would be to use solid colors. They make you look trendy and pretty.

Armed and fabulous

Belt to the Rescue

In general, thin belts work best with a plus size. But feel free to break the rule if you feel that a particular belt is allevating the whole look. Hence it is very important to try on the belt. But do try to steer clear of a belt with dangling pieces. They only make you look bulkier.

Dress Up

There are way too many types of dresses in the world to suit your body type and make you look fab. If you have a heavier bottom, try A line dresses or dresses with a flair. In case your waist is your issue of trouble, try shift dresses. They look classy and hide all the flabby areas.

The love of Denims

Make sure the print is small as larger prints tend to make you look larger. Choose your tops in a way that flatter your body type. Avoid wearing tops that are way too figure hugging. If you have a pear shaped body, go for tops in brighter colors and your trousers in darker shades. In case you have an apple shaped body, go for tops in darker shades and your trousers in brighter colors in order to highlight your best assets and hiding away the flabby areas.

The Water-Baby

There are loads of designers, coming up with amazing beach wear for plus sized ladies. While buying swimwear, it is important to try on the bikini or one-piece and jump in the trial room to see if the swimwear fits properly and isn’t going to cause an awkward situation later on. Keep in mind your body type when shopping for one. If you have got a heavier bust, look for bikini tops that provide additional support. High waist bikini bottoms cover your problem area and are chic too. You can also go for a one-piece in interesting colors and designs. So go ahead, be the beach diva that you are.
