How To: Not Buy Clothes You WON’T Wear

nothing-to-wear

How many times have you stood in front of your cupboard full of clothes and said to yourself- I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!!

#1 Do NOT pick things off the rack

Instead of going for quantity, go for quality. Do not pick things off the rack because they are on sale. Many women buy a lot of clothes during a sale or if they are cheap, bring them home, wear them once and then throw them at the back of their cupboard. Buy things that you think truly look good on you and which you think you will love to repeat, even if they are slightly on the higher side price-wise, they are an investment.

#2 Do NOT buy clothes you are unsure about

Trust your inner voice. Whenever you try something on, make sure you actually like it and will wear it. Many of us while trying something get this feeling that they are not very comfortable with the piece and there are chances that we are going to avoid wearing them but suppress our gut feeling because the item is cheap/is in fashion/by a famous designer. DON’T.

#3 Do NOT buy clothes by seeing other’s in something similar

Trust me, many of us do our shopping, looking for something that we saw on someone else the day before and which made them look really good. Each of us has a different body type. And sometimes, the same piece of clothing doesn’t look good on even two different women with the same body type. So while shopping, make yourself, your body type and your comfort a priority.

Sale items were my biggest problem back in the day. Now it’s about quality & versatile garments, not just cheap ones. :]
